Statement PressTerms and refunds
These are the terms for using Statement Press. They are written to be read. By using the site you agree to them.
What Statement Press is
Statement Press is a web tool that formats the giving records you provide into statements. It runs in your browser. It is not an accountant and does not give tax, legal or accounting advice.
Your responsibilities
- You are responsible for the accuracy of your records and for checking the statements before you send them.
- You are responsible for what your organization says on its statements, including whether it is tax-exempt and whether a gift is deductible. Statement Press does not check either.
- You may use Statement Press only for an organization you are authorized to act for, and only to record gifts that were actually made.
- You may not resell the service, share unlock codes outside your organization, or interfere with the site.
Free use and the season pass
You can make up to 5 statements per file without paying. Free statements carry a small “Made with Statement Press” line.
A season pass removes that limit and that line, and adds your logo and a separate PDF for each donor. A pass is a single payment with no automatic renewal. It lasts through October 31. A pass bought between May 1 and October 31 lasts through October 31 of the following year. The exact end date is shown before you pay and again afterwards.
A pass is for one organization. If you prepare statements for several organizations, please buy a pass for each.
Payment
Payments are processed by Stripe in US dollars. Applicable taxes, if any, are shown at checkout.
Refunds
If Statement Press doesn't work for you, email jo at statementpress.com within 30 days of your payment and we will refund it in full. Refunds go back to the card you paid with and usually take 5 to 10 business days to appear.
Support
Email jo at statementpress.com. We aim to reply within two business days.
Availability and changes
We work to keep the site available, but it is provided as is. We may change, improve or discontinue features.
Disclaimer and limit of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Statement Press is provided without warranties of any kind, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including tax consequences for you or your donors. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and of the state in which Statement Press is based.
Changes to these terms
If these terms change, the new version will be posted here with a new date. A change will not shorten a pass you have already bought.
